This page explains how ChronicSync selects and attributes sources for the News section of this site.
Primary Sources First
For regulatory and billing claims, we prioritize official primary sources — CMS.gov, the CMS Innovation Center, FederalRegister.gov, HHS.gov, FDA.gov, Medicaid.gov, Medicare.gov, and CDC.gov, among other government sources, depending on the topic.
Secondary Sources
Reputable healthcare industry publications and professional organizations may be used for discovery and context. A secondary source is never treated as proof of a specific CMS rule or figure when an official primary source is available — the primary source is always cited alongside or instead of it.
Attribution
Every news item derived from external reporting links to its official source, and states the source name and, where available, the original publication date.
What We Do Not Do
We do not reproduce entire announcements or copy source text. We do not present a secondary industry article as though it were an official government position. We do not fabricate a source, a quotation, or a publication date.
